In this blog I’ll share my experience related to the completion of a task using Pomodoro technique. The Pomodoro technique is used to increase the productivity of person.

Experiment / Task :

“Preparing presentation for tomorrow’s lab session”

I have to make a presentation for next day lab session. I started working on it at 7:08 PM. I set an alarm on my phone at 7:33 PM. At this time the alarm ringed and I stopped working on the presentation. Took a rest of 2–3 minutes and again started preparing that presentation. During the first 25 minutes I did not face any distraction. Again I set alarm to ring at 8:03 PM. I did the same when the alarm popped. I was marking ticks on a page at each alarm ring. Now, I have completed half of my work. During the second half I found some WhatsApp messages but I did not reply to them and focused on presentation. After taking a rest of 3 minutes I set the alarm to 8:31 PM. Finally, I was able to complete my presentation after fourth interval. After this I took a rest of about 20 minutes and started the next activity.

Marking ticks on page at the completion of interval

In the beginning it was difficult for me to stick to the time but after first interval I used to it. This technique helped me to use a more organized approach towards my task completion.

In the past I usually got exhausted after doing a little work and found myself happy in useless activities. This technique increased my productivity and abled me to complete my task in less time.

I would really like to use this technique in my future works :)
